The time it has taken for homes to sell has dropped 4% nationwide in January reported in “REALTOR MAGAZINE” according to Realtor.com housing report for the month of January. The Highlands, Cashiers and Sapphire Valley real estate markets in our end of North Carolina saw evidence of a stronger late season last fall. As of today, March 15, 2017 we currently have 911 homes for sale on the market and you can rest assured that by the beginning of summer we will pick up another 200 plus homes and this is after selling 78 homes since January 1st, 2017.

Many areas are experiencing a stronger-than-normal off season for homebuying activity, pushing inventory lower and home prices higher.
