A Bird’s Eye View of The Village Green

This particular photo is an aerial of the Village Green during one of the annual Blues, Brews and BBQ festivals hosted by the Greater Cashiers Area Merchants Association (GCAMA). This festival kicks off the season of Friday night concerts held throughout the Summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day. In the background you can see Cashiers Lake where a lot of the locals fish throughout the year. The park is located in the center of town next to the US Post Office and across from the Public Library.

The Village Green is host to weddings, concerts, craft shows, public meetings and more. On 4th of July, The Village Green hosts the Fireworks Extravaganza on the Green. These events usually have numerous bands, changing every hour or so, food vendors, craft vendors and more.

When you come to Cashiers, make sure you go to one of the concerts on the green.
